Canada Market Leader within the North American GHD North America Advisory team reporting to the North America Market Leader with a purpose to steer the goto market strategy for Advisory in Canada. Specific responsibility to steer the highest line growth for Advisory in Canada. The goal is to create an Advisory business in Canada that’s aligned with the broader Advisory North America Strategy and together with the broader GHD business in Canada.

Closely cooperating with other GHD enterprise and Advisory commercial activity Leaders, and therefore the broader GHD business including Operating Centre Managers, Marketing Managers and Regional Technical Leaders.

The Canada Market Leader is responsibility for owning the Canada Advisory strategy and driving that into priority markets of Municipal, Transportation and Water and as applicable the Private Sectors. this may be wiped out conjunction with the key advisory capability areas of Asset Management, Commercial, ESG and Data Insights.

Responsibilities:

Develop and own the strategy for the event of the GHD Advisory business in Canada aligned with the Enterprise Business
Provide leadership to the GHD Advisory Canada business in order that we meet GHD’s overall objectives in terms of monetary performance, risk management and strategic development having reference to GHD’s core values.
Implementation of performance and operational initiatives to realize “best practice” as identified by the GHD Advisory Leadership team and in GHD’s strategic plan.
Participate within the various GHD Advisory leadership meetings to collectively identify and share “best practice” across all Business activities.

Success Criteria

P&L of the GHD Advisory Canada business with a selected specialise in top line sales and growth.
Delivery of the Canada Advisory Strategy
Growing of the Canada Advisory business aligned to demand
Delivery performance – client satisfaction, great product, managing risk
Strength of Canada Advisory pipeline
Selling the Advisory Value Propositions together with the GHD Enterprise
Brand and Marketing – demonstrating GHD Advisory brand within the Canadian Market

Financial Performance

Ensure the quality and strength of the BD pipeline of activity meets the requirements for annual revenue for the region
Develop strategy to deliver market leading profitable growth for GHD Advisory within the Market
Develop and maintain Advisory’s Key Client list through development and execution of client plans
Drive the pursuit of ‘Must Wins’ through communicating, collaborating, positioning, strategizing and managing bids
Provide monthly KPI report back to the GHD Advisory Leadership Team (with particular reference to profitability, collections and productivity and add hand) along side any required corrective actions.
Prepare and submit any significant investment/expansion proposals.
Manage overhead/operational costs in accordance with GHD Advisory KPIs.

Risk Management

Develop the Advisory Canada Business Plan as a part of the North America Business Plan with reference to the high priority areas.
Arrange for compliance with environmental and OHS&R legislation, regulations and applicable codes of practice.
Liaison with the Chair of the danger Committee and therefore the head liable for PI in reference to the implementation of the GHD Management Systems.
Review key submissions that are critical for the continued performance of the GHD Advisory Canada Business (Activities) (including Go/No Go review).
Provide early notification of potential claims and proactively manage outcomes.
Provide monthly Opportunity & Risk Reports
Flag and discuss any abnormal issues with the Group Executive Manager.

Strategic and Business Development

Develop and update annually the Advisory Canada Business Plan and input to the broader Advisory North America Business Plan
Keep up so far the Advisory Canada Pipeline supported the GHD Advisory template
Develop proposals for expansion e.g. senior appointments, local acquisitions in consideration of current GHD Advisory Strategy.
Provide and present plans for business development.
Discuss and agree client & growth objectives with the Group Executive Manager.

Personnel

Identify and submit proposals for strategic appointments.
Succession planning, especially appointments for commercial activity Leaders and Executive Advisors.
Implement and contribute to staff appraisal outcomes, implement training initiatives and maintain general morale. (as applicable)
Illustrate support and compliance with the wants of the GHD Health and Safety Management System and Management Participation Matrix

Experience and Skills:

Minimum 15 years’ experience in Consultancy specializing within the Canada Market and market growth
Bachelor’s Degree
Existing relationships with clients within the Private and Public sectors preferred
